Sales Manager

This is not just another Sales Manager role where you come in and manage an existing team of people who really don’t want input, where you need to work to an outdated sales model that some old guy in a terrible suit implemented 20 years ago. Background

The Collect Group (TCG) provides software solutions for SMEs and Marketplace sellers (eg on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, N.O.T.H.S. etc) to help them process their orders more effectively. Our solutions help take the hassle out of sending parcels. We work with thousands of clients from our HQ in North Tyneside.
We have been trading for 10 years but our growth has really taken off over the last couple of years as the demand for parcels significantly increases. We believe that increase in demand is set to continue for many years to come so we are expanding our team to help us take advantage of that exciting market opportunity and deliver our exciting growth plans.

The Role

TCG is doing really well, but we want to take things to the next level. We want to establish a new sales function that will help us drive growth.

We want a Sales Manager who will help us establish a new digital sales strategy, sales process and sales team that will revolutionise the way we sell.

We want to do that in 2 phases:

Phase 1

Establish the new sales strategy and sales process and prove they will deliver the growth plan objectives. We think this will probably take between 3 and 6 months.

Phase 2

Once phase 1 is complete we want the sales manager to lead in recruiting and managing a new sales team. The sales manager will then move into a player coach/manager role with the responsibility for delivery of our growth strategy and objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop profitable growth for the business.
  • Create sales processes to encourage best practice and deliver sales.
  • Work with the Marketing Team and current outbound sales team to develop engaging campaigns that deliver results.
  • Implement a digital sales process to introduce, engage and convert business (using a variety of methods such as email, Direct Mail, PPC, tactical f2f campaigns, and telesales……).
  • Manage, develop and mentor a growing sales team
  • Set targets and help team members to achieve them
  • Communicate progress and results to senior management

Applicants must have experience with:

  • 5 years digital sales experience
  • Developing strategies with sales automation tools (such as www.outreach.io)
  • Managing CRM platforms and organising complex data flows
  • Outbound telesales activities
  • Achieving and exceeding targets
  • Mentoring experience in a target led environment
  • A wide variety of IT and software solutions (MS Office, CRM platforms and also be familiar with api processes)

Salary: Up to £35k basic. OTE £55k (LTIP potential)
